There are unique qualities & variations with grasscloth grounds make each batch one-of-a-kind. These variations lend it a lovely wabi sabi quality, part of its beauty, and are why it is our favorite ground.

Please note, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the imperfections we find most charming may not be for everyone. Please review the below disclosures carefully, review with your client if applicable, and take into account prior to placing an order.

Dye-lot variation is inherent to grasscloth. Due to the handmade nature of this product, it may have fading or variation at the seams. This is part of the beauty of the product and is not considered a defect.

Natural variation may be more pronounced on darker grounds AND depending upon the skill level of the installer.

We do NOT recommend installation using a brush method. However, you and your installer are best able to access your specific circumstances. We recommend reviewing the following note and discussing it with your installer in advance:

Installation using a brush may lift portions of the printed grasscloth to reveal the natural, unprinted ground. The added variation that results can make an interesting visual effect. This effect may be more subtle on lighter grounds, however it can be much more pronounced on darker grounds. This is not considered a defect.

Product Variation

Due the bespoke and small batch nature of our production process, variations may occur. This can be the result of fluctuation in the printing process, as well as the handmade nature of some of our grounds.

All items are made to order, thus products printed at different times will be from different dye lots. While we strive to retain consistency, allowances are made for up to a 10% tolerance of variation.

Our wallcoverings are considered custom & made-to-order. All such items are final sale.
