About The Alden Ottoman

Equally, at home in a Lake Tahoe chalet, Sea Ranch beachfront dwelling, or Beachwood Canyon abode. We designed this piece with California’s majestic views in mind.

Our distinctive ottoman rests on hand-carved legs—each detail a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, celebrating the natural beauty of the materials.

Shown here in our 43" version, featuring a textural mix of ivory bouclé combined with leather piping and legs in our Summer Aged Oak finish. 

All our pieces are bench-made in Los Angeles by local artisans.

Lead Time

Made-to-Order Lead Time:  16-22 weeks

For upholstered pieces, lead time commences when we receive all your C.O.M. materials. If your materials are back-ordered, our listed lead times will not begin until your fabric and/or trim has been received. 

C.O.M. Program

All our upholstered pieces are customizable by specifying Customers' Own Materials for a truly bespoke creation. 

The fabric specified should be upholstery grade with content and abrasion information available. Fabric without that information available may require backing and should be sent to us pre-backed. Depending upon the fabric you have specified, we may request that a CFA be sent to us in advance to confirm suitability with our maker.

Patterned Fabrics

Yardage requirements will vary depending upon the scale and repeat of patterned fabrics. Please contact us with your fabric details before placing your order to confirm yardage. 

Custom Requests

Available exclusively on trade orders—Custom sizing, alternate materials & finishes, outdoor covers, or contract-grade fabrication are available upon request.  Please inquire for pricing.  

For custom pieces, lead time commences when we receive your approved D.F.A. Please allow up to 2 weeks after your payment is received for receipt of D.F.A. drawings.

August Abode is a boutique studio, and we appreciate your understanding that we are unable to provide local delivery, white-glove delivery quotes, or related services at this time

All furnishings are available for pick-up only.

Delivery Providers

If you need assistance obtaining a quote or coordinating your delivery, we have compiled a list of shipping & delivery resources for your convenience. This is located within the Shipping Section of our FAQ page.

Warehouse Pick-Up

Please be sure to select "Pick Up" at checkout.

All custom and made-to-order items are released from our Los Angeles warehouse upon completion.  Most furniture pieces have a lead time of 12-22 weeks, with individual lead times provided within the product specifications.  We will notify you when your item is complete & provide the warehouse pick-up address.

Pick-up should be coordinated using a third-party commercial carrier, delivery, or courier service.  The ability to pick up from a loading dock may be required. Customers' designated carriers must arrive with their own packing materials.  We are unable to provide packing materials, crating, or blanket wrapping.

Our studio kindly requests 2 business days' notice, along with the name of your designated carrier, so we may have your item pulled from storage and available for your specified delivery service. 

Please note:  Our warehousing facility is quite large.  If you send your carrier without confirming in advance, unfortunately, we will be unable to accommodate your pick-up at that time.

Storage Fees

Once notified that your order is complete, items left at our warehouse longer than 15 days will incur a $250 storage fee per item per month.  Should we need to hold your item(s) for longer than the 15-day period, all storage balances will need to be paid in full before your goods can be released.
